📖 About Ridgeville Bible Chapel

Our Roots: Ridgeville Bible Chapel began in 1966 in Ridgeville, Ontario. RBC has roots in the Brethren movement.

Today: We are non-denominational, evangelical, and Bible-believing, with no governing body outside the local assembly.

We are passionate about growing in our knowledge of God and the Bible and living that out in our daily lives. We seek to glorify the Lord, share the love of Christ, and minister to our community.

📜 Statement of Faith

📕 The Bible

Consisting of both Old and New Testaments, the Bible is the revealed Word of God to man. It was given by inspiration of God, written as men were guided by the Holy Spirit, without error in the original writings, and is our final authority in all matters of faith and Christian living.

✝️ Jesus Christ

The Lord Jesus Christ, being fully God, entered human history as a man, was born of the virgin Mary, lived a perfect and sinless life, died as a sacrifice for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, and now ministers in heaven as our High Priest and Advocate.

🌐 Creation

The account of origins presented in Genesis is a simple but factual presentation of actual events.

⭐ God

There is one God eternally existent and co-equal in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

🕊️ Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit was sent by the Lord Jesus to abide with His people, convict the world of sin, instruct believers in the things of Christ, and empower them for service.

👤 Mankind’s Need

Man was created in the image and likeness of God, but through deliberate sin stands guilty before God and under His eternal judgment.

❤️ Salvation

The death and resurrection of Christ provide the only basis for a sinner’s justification and acceptance by God, and all who receive Him by faith are redeemed and born of the Holy Spirit.

🛡️ Eternal Security

Every true child of God possesses eternal life and is safe for all eternity, though fellowship, joy, testimony, and reward can be affected by sin and restored through obedience.

💧 The Ordinances

The two Christian ordinances are baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper, both given by the Lord as meaningful acts of obedience and remembrance for believers.

👑 The Return of Christ

The personal pre-millennial return of the Lord Jesus Christ could occur at any moment and points believers toward holy living, faithful service, resurrection, judgment, and eternal blessedness with the Lord.

⛪ The New Testament Church

The Lord has called believers to fellowship in local, autonomous congregations for worship, prayer, edification, the Lord’s Supper, teaching, and gospel witness, as a testimony to the Lordship of Christ and the unity of His body.
